Graduate Lab – 13-14 September
A two-day intensive programme of workshops, talks and networking, specifically designed for dance graduates.
We’ll be sending out information about the event in the near future, and would be very grateful if you could distribute this to your students. It’ll be a fantastic mix of physical exploration, practical information and valuable exchange with peers and experienced artists.
HE Round Table – 17 September, 1.30-6.30pm
Last year, ID hosted a successful gathering of dance artist-teachers working in the academic sector, and discussed the changing contexts and expectations of teaching choreography. It was attended by 33 lecturers representing 14 institutions.
This year, we continue the discussion with a topic that arose at the 2013 event: the dual identity as artist and academic, navigating both industry and institutional frameworks in our creative practice; and the contribution (and, sometimes, invisibility) of artists working in HE contexts to the wider sector.
The meeting will be followed by an opportunity to network and socialise over drinks in the evening.
We hope to welcome you and your graduates to ID in September, if not before!
