You will work with other members of the Dance subject group to design taught curricula, deliver excellent learning and teaching and provide student support in Dance and the Performing Arts. You will also be required to collaborate with others to develop new programmes and will enhance workforce development and collaborative links between the University and dance industries.
Applicants must possess a good honours degree in a relevant discipline plus either a higher degree (or equivalent professional qualification), or significant practical experience in the dance profession. Your experience will lie in one or more of the following areas: Dance and Movement Technique Classes; Creative Workshops; Dance in Education; Dance Facilitation; Management; Artistic Direction; Entrepreneurship. It is essential that you have good communication, presentation and organisational skills in addition to strong pastoral/coaching skills and experience of networking and establishing partnerships.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
