People Dancing are sharing this with the Dance HE group with the hope that some of us may support the campaign, whether that be through a donation or by sharing 11 Million Reasons with friends, family and colleagues – they needsupport to realise this project.
Please take a few moments to read through the informtion below and watch the video on their crowdfunding page.

There are 11 million people in the UK with a disability – Family Resources Survey 2011/12
We are looking to our friends and supporters to help us with our first crowd funding campaign help us create 11 Million Reasons, a photographic exhibition that aims to change and challenge perceptions around Deaf and disabled people dancing.

We like to focus on what people CAN do, rather than what they can’t. To achieve this we’ve commissioned disabled photographer to photograph Deaf and disabled dancers, such as Kate Marsh, Welly O’Brien and Tom St Louis, recreating iconic dance moments in film.

Your support will help us to create a fun, fantastic and opinion changing exhibition with the potential to tour the country, and to say thank you, we’re offering a range of perks to those who support it.

Louise Wildish, People Dancing’s Producer for Dance, Deaf and Disabled People, and Sean Goldthorpe have created a short video explaining more about the project.

Finally, please share our campaign with your friends, family and networks, we need your help to make this project happen!

Thank you,
The People Dancing Team
