The International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy (France) will host a student round table during its annual screendance conference and festival in May 2015. We invite university and conservatory students who are involved with research and/or production in screendance (dance film, kinetic imaging, and other complementary practices) to send a letter of interest. The conference’s working language is English and international students from all programs (dance, film, visual art, etc.) and levels (undergrad, master and doctoral programs, etc.) are welcome to participate.
Please be sure that your letter of interest includes your university or conservatory name, the program in which you study (film, dance, etc.) and your level of studies. Most importantly, a brief description of your work in screendance should be included that explains your previous or current projects/research, and the central questions and themes you explore in screendance. The round table will be moderated and participants attend other conference events and screenings free of charge. There is no registration fee to participate in the conference.
The festival/conference is unable to award travel funding at this time, but we are happy to supply letters of invitation should you wish to secure funding to attend.
Conference dates are May 21-23, 2015 in Le Creusot, France (one hour outside of Paris via speed train).
Send your letter of interest via e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The call for participation is open until round table places are filled.
