Andrea Olsen and Caryn McHose at UCLan

Public Workshop, Lecture, Seminar

With ANDREA OLSEN and CARYN MCHOSE

Tuesday 9th June 2015, Media Factory, Preston

Body & Earth

Workshop: Caryn and Andrea will introduce their Body and Earth training principles through experiential anatomy and evolutionary movement, the session will explore how orientation and perception underlie every movement we make. Embodied inhabitation of our self and the world around us is a necessary skill to meet challenges in con- temporary life. Moving and clarifying, witnessing and reflecting, we collaborate as a creative community to restore inherent body movement intelligence—building a quality of shared awareness and sustained presence.

Lecture: ‘Reimagining Our Relationship to the Dancing Body’

Combining somatic principles and performance, Olsen introduces key concepts from the Body and Earth training program and shares views on balancing the nervous system for effective communication. Open to all.

This day will close with refreshments and Book signing.
This will be their only public workshop in the UK in 2015
