Moving Into Direction
These three days will look at the work of the movement director and in particular how pure movement exercises relate to and connect with the work of a director .
We will look at how movement work can be linked with text work, how the awareness and use of space can be communicated, and how to make the links between pure movement, play, and the work on a production. It will be relevant to movement practitioners /directors in both theatre and opera and to performer/practitioners interested in strengthening their compositional work.
Most of our time will be spent in practical work, but there will be opportunities for discussion and feedback. The course is a first unit in a series to be announced in 2016.
This course is suitable for practitioners working in all fields of live performance.
