Review: Subject Benchmark Statement: Dance, Drama and Performance

We are writing to ask you advice in connection with a forthcoming review of the subject benchmark statement for Dance, Drama and Performance (2007).

The QAA reviews subject benchmark statements every seven years, which means it is now time for a review.

In order to undertake the task a review group is being formed and I have been asked to  join.

The aim is to consider whether and to what extent the statement needs to be revised.

Whilst a number of colleagues across Dance, Drama and Performance think there is little need for any significant  change it is important to hear and represent a range of voices at the meeting.

If you have any thoughts about the language, emphasis and value of the statements as they stand and /or thoughts about potential additions please contact DanceHE Chair Fiona Bannon on F.Bannon@leeds.ac.uk
You can find the Dance , Drama and Performance statement on QAA’s website at:http://www.qaa.ac.uk/Publications/InformationAndGuidance/Documents/DDP07.pdf

The meeting is likely to be held in April so there is time to ponder. It would be good to hear replies by the 20th March.
