Shantel is Lecturer in Dance & Theatre at the School of Arts, University of Surrey. Interested in the complexity of the corporeal, her research spans a number of disciplines, though all principally centred around the topic of dance and kinaesthetic experience. Shantel completed her PhD at the University of Manchester, MSc at Trinity Laban, MFA at University of California, Irvine, and BA at New York University. Please see also
