A performance presentation including discussion with the artists and Jane Hackett,

Artistic Programmer and Producer, Creative Learning, Sadlers Wells Theatre

Featuring former artists of London Contemporary Dance Theatre,

The Royal Ballet, Second Stride and the Siobhan Davies Dance Company,

the cast includes:

Christopher Bannerman, Anne Donnelly, Linda Gibbs, Lizie Saunderson,

Betsy Gregory, Geraldine Morris Namron and Kenneth Tharp

Following rapturous audience responses and critical acclaim, Elders Project comes to Middlesex University, Hendon. Elders Project was part of the KnowBody

performance presented within Sadler’s Wells Theatre’s Elixir Festival which celebrated lifelong creativity and the legacy of older artists

whose catalogue of work has changed the art form and continues to influence the future of dance.

Elders Project has been described as a hopeful and irreverent illustration of the body

as an archive of rooms, steps and forgotten stories, revealing the power of physical memory in the face of the most transitory of art forms.

“Everything disappears in this stupid art form, which is why we like it.”

Jonathan Burrows, the Elders Project (2014)
