The Dance Studies Department at the University of Malta is currently accepting applications for the 2016-18 cohort of its low-residency Masters in Performance Studies (Dance). Ideal candidates have substantial professional/teaching experience and are seeking to deepen their practice, pedagogy, choreography, outreach, use of technology, and critical engagement with dance. Lectures will take place in Malta in the form of three intensive two-week blocks (interspersed with independent study supported by a virtual learning environment) per year over the course of two years.
Candidates without a BA in Dance Studies are required to take the online Preparatory Course designed to introduce students to relevant literature, including dance history and theory. Professional qualifications and/or experience may be recognized as equivalent to a BA.
