The Institute of the Arts is a specialist provider of Arts education within the University of Cumbria.  Based at the university’s arts campus in Carlisle, the institute offers courses of study composed of two-thirds professional practice supported by one-third critical understanding and practical knowledge of working in the creative industries

 

The Institute of the Arts is seeking to recruit a specialist in Dance and Physical Theatre to teach across a range of courses within the popular Performing Arts portfolio.  The post holder should be able to teach a variety of dance styles (e.g. contemporary, physical theatre, street, and Jazz) and contribute to the theoretical and professional practice strands within the Institute.  Candidate must have the desire and expertise to work with both specialist dancers and performance students of differing skills levels and backgrounds.
