JW3 Dance Commission

The JW3 Dance Commission invites dance artists/companies to create a new dance work about Jewish life and culture to premiere in June 2016. The creation of the piece is important to our commitment to providing a platform for Jewish arts of the highest quality.

We are specifically looking to commission a new dance work that is innovative, courageous and honest. The work should explore themes of Jewish culture and heritage in its content, and have a wide audience appeal. Collaborations with other artforms are also encouraged, but not compulsory.

The commission is funded by Rayne Foundation and can be used as seed funding for the project to attract financial support from other sources. Support will be given to artists who wish to apply for further funds.

The commission includes:

£3,000 commission fee
Rehearsal space in London

Mentoring from Chris Hutchings, Dance Programmer
